High-density data hall prepared for liquid cooling

Context

A new hall intended for GPU clusters, with racks too dense for air cooling alone and a build-out planned in phases.

A new hall intended for GPU clusters, with racks too dense for air cooling alone and a build-out planned in phases.

Requirements

  • Redundant secondary distribution

  • Separated technology and facility loops

  • Maintenance access to every row

  • Phased build-out without shutdowns

Engineering challenge

Delivering liquid cooling to every row while keeping maintenance routes clear and allowing later phases to connect without interrupting live racks.

Proposed system

Row-level CDUs on a closed secondary loop, with overhead headers and valved branches to each rack, linked to facility water and rooftop dry coolers.

Integration approach

Overhead headers were coordinated with cable trays and busway, with isolation points per row and pre-installed connections for future phases.
